Park Volunteers
A team of children helped adults to paint a bridge in a Sheffield park as part of a clean up in the city's Environment Week. The park authorities have found that getting children involved in looking after the park has helped to cut back on vandalism. One eleven year old had spent the whole day painting and pulling rubbish out of the river. "We'll be able to come back and say: "That's the bridge we painted"", she said.
