The Dog and Partridge is one of Sheffield's original Irish pubs, and traditional Irish music is played there every night. A number of bars throughout the city (and the rest of England) have over recent years been converted to an Irish theme, as big breweries cashed in on the growing market for friendly Irish-looking hostelries. The Dog, as locals call it, is still one of the most popular places for Sheffield's Irish families, however, because, as they put it, there's always a good craic.
